About this surface
Carrara Glacier
Pale grey white with a fine sandy grain, crossed by a few long, thin grey veins and small scattered grey flecks. The marks are spaced well apart, so the slab reads as a soft, quiet Carrara style.
Questions
About Carrara Glacier
Carrara Glacier is an engineered quartz surface: crushed natural quartz bound with polymer resin and pigments. It is a manufactured material, not a natural stone. Bloomstones states that its slabs are 93 percent quartz and 7 percent polymer resin. It does not name its manufacturer.
Our listing shows Carrara Glacier in a polished finish and 20 mm and 30 mm thicknesses. Our listing shows a polished finish and 20 mm and 30 mm thicknesses; Bloomstones's website does not state them for this colour, so we confirm the finish and thickness in your quotation. Your quotation states the finish and thickness we have priced.
For everyday cleaning use a soft cloth with warm water and a little mild washing-up liquid, and wipe up spills promptly. Use a chopping board rather than cutting on the surface, a trivet or heat mat under hot pans, and avoid bleach, abrasive pads and harsh cleaners. Bloomstones says its quartz needs no sealing.
Carrara Glacier costs £275–£375 per m², supplied, fabricated and installed. Your quotation is itemised and depends on your worktop and location.
Bloomstones' 10-year warranty applies only to Bloomstones London Quartz slabs bought from and delivered by Bloomstones and activated within 30 days of purchase, so it depends on how your slab was supplied. Stoneone's 2-year workmanship guarantee is separate, and we confirm the warranty that applies to your order in writing.
