Carrara by International Stones

Carrara is an engineered quartz surface: crushed natural quartz bound with polymer resin and pigments. It is a manufactured material, not a natural stone. International Stones describes IQ as composite quartz, a resin bound mixture of natural quartz mineral with glass or metallic flecks and pigments. It does not publish a quartz percentage, and its product pages give a country of origin (Asia, India or Spain) for each colour.

For everyday cleaning use a soft cloth with warm water and a little mild washing-up liquid, and wipe up spills promptly. Use a chopping board rather than cutting on the surface, a trivet or heat mat under hot pans, and avoid bleach, abrasive pads and harsh cleaners.
