Compac Alaska

Compac Alaska is an engineered quartz surface: crushed natural quartz bound with polymer resin and pigments. It is a manufactured material, not a natural stone. Compac says its Technological Quartz is 93 to 95 percent natural quartz with small amounts of pigments and resins.

For everyday cleaning use a soft cloth with warm water and a little mild washing-up liquid, and wipe up spills promptly. Use a chopping board rather than cutting on the surface, a trivet or heat mat under hot pans, and avoid bleach, abrasive pads and harsh cleaners. Compac says its quartz needs no sealing.
