About this surface
Desert Sand QC
Soft layers of pale grey, cream and light sand drift horizontally across the slab, like wind blown dunes. The layers are feathered and slightly shimmering, with no hard veins, so the effect is calm and gently moving.
Questions
About Desert Sand QC
Desert Sand QC is an engineered quartz surface: crushed natural quartz bound with polymer resin and pigments. It is a manufactured material, not a natural stone. Quartz City describes its quartz as natural quartz, minerals and resin. It publishes no percentages and does not name its manufacturer.
Our listing shows Desert Sand QC in a polished finish and 20 mm and 30 mm thicknesses. Your quotation states the finish and thickness we have priced.
For everyday cleaning use a soft cloth with warm water and a little mild washing-up liquid, and wipe up spills promptly. Use a chopping board rather than cutting on the surface, a trivet or heat mat under hot pans, and avoid bleach, abrasive pads and harsh cleaners.
Desert Sand QC costs £375–£550 per m², supplied, fabricated and installed. Your quotation is itemised and depends on your worktop and location.
Quartz City's 10-year warranty covers the original owner and first installation. It needs an invoice from an Approved Fabricator and excludes discontinued colours and outdoor use. Stoneone's 2-year workmanship guarantee is separate, and we confirm the warranty that applies to your order in writing.
