About this surface
Iron Flux
Rust orange and dark brown patches run in wide horizontal bands, interrupted by cloudy blue grey and pale silver areas. The surface looks like weathered, oxidised metal, with ragged edges between the colours.
Questions
About Iron Flux
Iron Flux is an engineered quartz surface: crushed natural quartz bound with polymer resin and pigments. It is a manufactured material, not a natural stone. International Stones describes IQ as composite quartz, a resin bound mixture of natural quartz mineral with glass or metallic flecks and pigments. It does not publish a quartz percentage, and its product pages give a country of origin (Asia, India or Spain) for each colour.
Our listing shows Iron Flux in a polished finish and 30 mm thickness. Your quotation states the finish and thickness we have priced.
For everyday cleaning use a soft cloth with warm water and a little mild washing-up liquid, and wipe up spills promptly. Use a chopping board rather than cutting on the surface, a trivet or heat mat under hot pans, and avoid bleach, abrasive pads and harsh cleaners.
Iron Flux costs £450–£700 per m², supplied, fabricated and installed. Your quotation is itemised and depends on your worktop and location.
International Stones gives a manufacturer's 15 year warranty on its IQ quartz, with registration required. Its terms are in a separate document. Stoneone's 2-year workmanship guarantee is separate, and we confirm the warranty that applies to your order in writing.
